The doughboy is a tasty trail treat. Not overly heavy to carry but fun to make and wonderful to eat.
Ingredients – In a single zip-lock bag, add the following:
- 2 cups flour
- 1/3 cup powdered milk
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
When ready, gradually add water and mix in the powder until a dough like mixture is achieved. Roll out the dough so it is about 1cm or 1/2 inch in diameter. Coil the dough around a handy stick and cook over fire. Do this slowly or the dough in the center will remain gooey. When it’s cooked inside, it will slide off the stick. Add a little jam – yummy.
